Sign up for a hairdresser at Amazon: an online store is preparing a raid on the service market

While eBay has problems , Amazon plans to try itself as a provider of local business services: nannies (of course, America), handymen, hairdressers, and so on.



Reuters news agency claims that Amazon has already held talks with representatives of local service companies in Seattle and San Francisco, and the launch of the service in these cities is possible before the end of the year. It is expected that the company will run a pattern run-in at the opening of a delivery service from Amazon Fresh stores: first, long-term testing and adjustment of services within a couple of cities, and then expansion to the whole of the United States.

Reuters writes that entering the local services market was the long-time goal of Amazon’s CEO Jeff Bezos: he personally invested in another Seattle- based startup com.com specializing in the search for professional performers that was founded by former Amazon CEO Matt Williams.
