In a
press release published on November 27, the Pulitzer Prize organizers report that online materials may be presented by the media for participation in the award competition.
For a prize in the categories Breaking News Reporting and Breaking News Photography can apply for materials published on media websites. It does not matter in which format they are published: it can be databases, interactive graphics, a blog, a slide show, and a video presentation. In the remaining nominations, the jury requires that the material be available also in the “offline version”.
Thus, the Pulitzer Prize in 2007 will be able to get those journalists who keep their own blogs on media sites.
