In Belarus, the topic of “Human Shield” has long lain behind It all started with the fact that on March 2, on the highway Minsk-Mikashevichi, the traffic police tried to stop the intruder, who was driving along the highway at 140 km / h, by drawing up a barrier from the personal vehicles of citizens moving along the highway. A traffic police officer stopped 3 cars, one for each lane of the route, did not let passengers get out of the car, and waited. After some time, the offender began to approach the “shield”. He was drunk and did not stop. At full speed flew into 2 cars from the "shield". There were victims, no one died.

All the hype began with this article in the local newspaper. Here are more comments . After a week of discussion of events in the press and society, the head of the traffic police acknowledged that the employees were unprofessional and would be punished.

But that was not the end of it. Articles began to appear that this practice has been used by GAI officers for a long time and not very rarely. Even one of my friend's friends, as it turned out, was a participant in such an action (there was no clash at that time, and no one was hurt). It became obvious that the information is not provocative, very similar to the truth.
