Creopop: handheld 3D printer with a cold "print"

Now 3D printers are developing very actively, and almost every week new models of such devices appear. Large printers, small printers, expensive and cheap, portable and completely "manual". All these are devices that use plastic that is heated to high temperatures.

Of course, high temperatures are energy costs, an unpleasant smell and the potential danger of burns. The other day a device appeared that, as far as can be judged, is devoid of all these shortcomings. The device is called a Creopop, and it is a manual printer for “cold printing”. The device works with a photopolymer, which quickly hardens under the influence of ultraviolet radiation (something similar is used by dentists).

The device itself already exists, a video demonstrating its work below. However, manufacturers plan to launch a campaign on Indiegogo to raise funds for the launch of mass production of Creopop. As far as one can understand, the price of the device will not be very high - $ 89 for the “contributors” of Indiegogo.

It is also very interesting that the developers, together with the device, created a whole range of different types of “ink” photopolymers. Colored, luminous, magnetic, elastic and even aromatic "ink" - all this is already there. Photopolymers can be very different, with very different properties, and the developers took this into account.

Well, here's a video with a demonstration of the device:
