The concept of "smart home" from Microsoft from the 90s

“Smart Home”, a home where all technical devices are connected to everyone - a concept that has been developed for many decades. During this time, much has been achieved, and in part this "much" has penetrated into our lives. But even more is left (so far) overboard.

In the 90s, Microsoft was actively working on the concept of “smart home”, and showed its vision in a rather interesting video. Viewing I recommend to start with the 40th second, if there is no desire to listen to the "leader".

As we see, much has already become a reality, a commonplace. For example, this is "smart TV" (web-TV in video), something like a PDA, "beacons" and some other things. “Smart” refrigerators, which are able to determine what products are and what are not, and order the missing, is also a reality. But still such refrigerators are still rare, not very popular technological innovation.

Anyway, our houses are becoming “smarter”, which, in principle, is very good.
