Modio: children's application for designing toys for printing on 3D printers

Now there are several 3D printers for everyone, where no additional configuration is required, nor knowledge of the fundamentals of materials science. In general, such printers are suitable for both children and adults (presumably, children will learn new devices faster than adults).

Well, since 3D printers are becoming more common and popular, software for them is also developing. The other day there was information about the new program for creating various models - soldiers, monsters, dolls of all stripes and sizes. The program is very easy to operate, so children will sort it all out very quickly.

Currently, this program, Modio , is completely free, and "sharpened" for work on the iPad tablet. By default, the usual model is given, which the user can change to his liking by adding or removing parts of the case, changing the size / texture / color of the figure, equipping the model with a weapon.

There are already reviews on the application page, where some users compare their results, printed figures, with Hero Factory figures. Of course, toys can be made as large (or small) as the printer allows.

The creator of the application made free, as mentioned above. The author plans to earn money on particularly cool models that are uploaded to the catalog of models (in the process of creation) and their parts, which can be purchased for money. Well, if you do not want to buy - we take and create our own "tin soldier."

In general, the idea is really quite interesting, and the application itself, one must think, will be used not only in children, but also in adults (for example, from owners of toy stores). Well, the kids will be just happy. In the 90s, for a 3D printer and such an application, children would give everything they had :)
