Mail.Ru Cloud on iPad

At the beginning of this year, we wrote about how our Mail.Ru Cloud service was created . Since its launch, we have released mobile clients and have included the service in the vulnerability scanner . Almost immediately, we started receiving questions from owners of iPads, when will the Clouds app for their tablets come out. And today we want to share one more news from Mail.Ru Cloud life - the long-awaited version has finally come out . Previously, tablet owners had to install an iPhone version, their share reached almost 20% of all iOS client installations.

It is quite natural that it is much more convenient to work with images and video on a tablet than on a smartphone. In addition, images make up more than 50% of all files uploaded by users to the Cloud. Therefore, in the iPad version of the client, we paid particular attention to working with these types of data. Of course, the overall style of the interface and the structure of the application remained the same, but now the screen area of ​​the tablet is used more efficiently.

What exactly are the changes in the iPad version:

• Added new view mode for downloaded images - “Tile view”. This mode supports both landscape and portrait orientation of the device. In this mode, folders with different types of files (documents, pictures, videos) have a different visual style, which facilitates orientation in a large number of files.
  
  
  
  
• The second change in the iPad version of the client: graphic files can be deleted directly in the viewing mode, without the need for prior exit. This is especially useful when “cleaning” and sorting a large number of photo and video files.
  
  
  
  
• The third important change: now right in the list of files, you can call the quick action menu. It is called by swipe and allows you to send a file to the gallery, create a link, move or delete.
