The most complete picture of the visible universe from Hubble
NASA and ESA recently posted an open access to the most interesting photograph of the visible part of the universe. The source is Hubble Ultra Deep Field . In this photo you can count (if you have enough patience and vision) 10 thousand galaxies and some more individual luminaries there. It is worth noting that in the photo you can see a lot of dots of different colors. This is also a galaxy. The video is also uploaded, with a demonstration of that part of the space in question.
The difference of this photo from all the others is, firstly, the addition of the ultraviolet spectrum (that is, the creators of the photo made visible UV radiation in the photo). Due to this, a huge number of objects emitting only in the UV spectrum appeared in the photo. ')
Secondly, the photograph itself is a compilation of multiple images of the Hubble telescope, the pictures were taken between 2003 and 2012, which is about 841 orbital cycles of the telescope.
According to astronomers, this photo shows us the complexity of the universe: many different types of galaxies, stars and other objects. In some, stars are being born, others are dying of old age, and still others are at their peak.
