Vista instability: Microsoft sins on Nvidia

The unstable work of Vista is primarily to blame, it turns out, not Microsoft, but Nvidia. In the course of trials on the Vista Capable program , another interesting “information” surfaced: the OS crash statistics, according to which it was the Nvidia drivers that caused the most problems.

According to Microsoft, 28.81% of all registered cases of unstable OS is on Nvidia’s conscience. The second and third place in the list is Microsoft with 17.9% and drivers of unknown developers. AMD (ATI) and Intel have slightly smaller numbers (9.3% and 8.83%, respectively).

Interestingly, representatives of Nvidia are not going to disown this statistics. Explaining such a “breakaway” from the main competitor in the production of graphics accelerators by a large number (~ 250 for Nvidia against ~ 125 for ATI) of supported products.

I note, however, that the statistics are already rather outdated. And the company released a lot of new drivers, and Vista has already acquired SP1.
