21% of American parents believe that their children spend too much time on the Internet, according to The Associated Press .

A survey by the University of Southern California showed that about one in five parents in the United States is concerned about the Internet addiction of their children. In 2000, there were only 11% of such restless “ancestors,” that is, the “digital divide” between generations is increasing.
