I have just returned from the Free Software in Ethics and in Practice event organized by ceata.org and first of all I want to show you some fresh pictures of Richard Stallman and briefly tell you about what happened.

Because of the jetlag, Stallman was a bit sleepy and distracted. According to him, he hardly realizes his name and what country he came to. The conference was held within the walls of the Polytechnic University of Chisinau, aka UTM, and, accordingly, mainly students were present at it.

')
Lecture Stollman was devoted to ethical software issues. He began by listing the
criteria for software freedom , and then cited relevant examples of their violation. The criticism was addressed to Microsoft, iThing devices, Amazon Kindle, Facebook, Instagram, Firefox, OpenOffice and SaaSS as technology.

As for the other topics, the following questions were revealed:
- Why software freedom is important
- Why you should say GNU / Linux and not just Linux
- Why open source software does not carry freedom
- Why is it important for states to use STR?
Answers to these questions can always be read on the gnu.org website in the
philosophy section.
Of course, it is quite another thing to listen to it live. Firstly, RMS tells interestingly, and secondly, he has a great sense of humor. Almost every five minutes was a good reason to laugh. In the end there was a section of questions and a couple of them I will give a little lower.

- What do you recommend to use after closing the project truecrypt?
- I've never heard of him before. My disk is not encrypted, but for mail I use GnuPG
- What do you think about piracy?
- Piracy is the seizure of ships, which is not very good. If you're about copying proprietary programs, then this is not the worst option. But if you have a choice, do not use them.
- The best modern film?
- I don't watch them
- When will GPLv4 be released?
- GPLv3 works great and we do not need to deal with another license
- How do you defend against Microsoft assassins?
- I only heard about vi fanatics, while I don’t know anything about Microsoft
Then Richard Stallman re-paid and called to join the emacs church.

By the way, he was asked if his nimbus was a piece of a hard disk and he replied that it wasn’t a nimbus, although it was possible that in a past life he was a hard disk.
PS I, of course, did not miss the opportunity to get a photo with him
