Not so long ago, the news was published on Habré that the Chinese were able to print 10 houses per day using a large 3D printer of their own design. In general, the idea is excellent, but the Chinese project also has disadvantages.
The fact is that just concrete casings are printed, without insulation, places for wiring and other things. However, there is a project whose goal is not to create a concrete box as quickly as possible, but to “print” high-quality houses with insulation, with space for communications / wiring lines and so on. ')
The author of the project is Andrei Rudenko, who plans to create two-story cottages in the USA, Minnesota using this method. Rudenko is not an amateur in the matter of architecture and construction, he has relevant experience. Well, the idea of creating a house using a 3D printer attracted him, and a printer of his own design was born, which can already do a lot of things.
The author plans to develop his project, giving him several directions. The first is the construction of quality houses, as mentioned above. The second is a decorative finish, with a “print” of the given patterns / shapes. With proper print quality, post-processing of the objects created will simply not be necessary, the walls will be perfectly smooth, so it will not be necessary to equate them for interior work.
Rudenko created his project based on the "open" printer RepRap. The system uses an Arduino Mega 2560 controller, but, of course, the working parts of the printer are very large, larger than any 3D printer of a similar design.
It is already planned to build a trial cottage with a size of 10 * 15 meters, with all the necessary communications. "Printing" is carried out in layers, the width of a separate layer - 20 mm, thickness - 5 mm. Material for printing - a concrete mix of its own preparation.
Of course, for the commercial use of such an idea, licensing is needed, permits from the relevant authorities. Presumably, if such a construction method proves its viability / reliability, the license will be issued. But it may take quite a lot of time.
