Co-founder of The Pirate Bay Peter Sunde was arrested in Sweden

Co-founder and former press secretary of The Pirate Bay was arrested on May 31 in the south of Sweden near the city of Malmo. Peter Sunde has been sought by interpol for The Pirate Bay for more than two and a half years.

The final term of imprisonment was determined in 2012, when the Supreme Court of Sweden refused to rethink the sentence in the case of The Pirate Bay. But Peter Sunde continued the fight first in the European Court of Human Rights, and then, having been refused there, again in the Supreme Court. In May 2014, the latter again rejected his complaint.

According to TorrentFreak, Peter Sunde lived in Germany, occasionally arriving in Sweden where he had relatives. In recent years, Peter worked on the secure Hemlis messenger and was a co-founder of the Flattr micropayer service.
Now, Peter Sunde is likely to face imprisonment for a period of 8 months, prescribed by the court.
