In today's release:

Sublimation of iodine or sublimation

Sublimation (or sublimation) is the transition of a substance from a solid to a gaseous state, bypassing the liquid phase. Iodine cannot be in a liquid state at normal atmospheric pressure. That is why when heated it turns from solid peas into gas. But after again settles on the cold flask as a solid. The reverse process is called desublimation.

Similarly, charlatans do "operations without a scalpel." This requires: ammonium rodanide, ferric chloride, sodium fluoride.

I admit, this experience turned out to be not very impressive. Much more efficient to use a chain of metal balls. Here is a great example .
