Dvorak or how to turn life into pain

Two years ago, I was captured by the desire to change something, I decided to switch to Dvorak for programmers.
Redid the keyboard, pasted fashionable stickers with Ebay. AND…
The first couple of months were hell. But then, according to True-stories, a miracle should have happened.
I wrote the code, trained on the keyboard simulator, swore. When it came to keyboard shortcuts (SC), swearing is even stronger!
Trite, to copy + paste, you need two hands, because fingers do not reach. Moreover, not all the programs worked correctly: somewhere remained old from QWERTY, but not at all. For example: Adobe illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

Half a year has passed, the speed of writing Latin has increased, but when it came to writing Latin + Cyrillic + keyboard shortcuts, the mat began.
And the keys on the Numpad did not match, that is, in Dvorak, one location, and in the Russian layout, another.
About SK keys in Vim generally keep quiet, I had to give it up ...
When I sat down at other people's computers or any other device that was not configured for me, it was like a childhood, when I was just learning the keyboard, trying to get to the right key. I had to justify myself to people who know that I am a programmer.
They say my keyboard is different, so it is so difficult. But they still did not understand: "How can you not be able to type on the keyboard?".
These small shoals finished off, and much!
I rearranged the keys to numpad, SK in IDE and editor - I spent a lot of time, but it did not become easier. The lion's share of programs still confused and interfered with work. Disturbed after the rearrangement, the keys began to stagger a little - perhaps because the laptop is from a budget series.
Time passed, it did not get any better.
Gradually, he lost the habit of almost all keyboard shortcuts and began to use the mouse more often (!).
Recently, tea was spilled on the keyboard ... The keys began to stick together and began to deliver even more discomfort.
Today, patience finally came to an end, cleaned the keyboard, moved the key and returned the layouts to the standard state.
Having written a bit of code, I felt a “thrill” and then I realized that I was a fool that I was led and lost two years of life with Dvorak. It hurts and shame.
My advice is that it’s not worth it, don’t believe people are picking up at supersonic speeds using the Dvorak layout.
