Hello!
On Habré there
have already
been several articles about the French hosting provider OVH, so I will not tell in detail about the company and its services, but only draw your attention to one very attractive, in my opinion, offer ...
Prehistory
In the second half of last year, OVH released a new line of servers. In addition to the standard technical improvement, they also significantly reduced prices, which led to a huge number of people who wanted to order new equipment. After a couple of weeks, they realized that they barely cope with the demand (first of all, those who want to surrender their old server and get a new one at a lower cost) and
temporarily shut down the design of the new servers.
')

After some time, a special offer was posted on the Kimsufi site (a separate site with entry-level servers, owned by OVH) - a server for just 2.99 euros per month. However, many who wished were greatly disappointed - only residents of France could place an order.
The most interesting thing here
And now, six months later, a similar offer appeared again! For only 4.99 euros per month (about 235 rubles at the current rate), you can issue a dedicated server based on the Atom N2800 with 2 GB of RAM, a 500 GB hard disk, and also with (almost) unlimited 100 Mbps.
As it was worth guessing, the available equipment diverges fairly quickly, so in order to issue it, you should constantly monitor the availability of servers.
Bonus
However, for Nagios / Icinga users (and, possibly, for other monitoring systems) I have a small bonus - a
simple php script (forgive me for Perl / Python / Ruby / anything else) who checks for the server.
If you decide to
order a server , do not forget that for those who are not EU residents, you are not required to pay tax. When sending documents, ask to remove VAT for your account.
Have a good week everyone!
