Motocoin - cryptocurrency with human mining

Logo On May 1, a thread appeared on the BitcoinTalk forum, in which one of the forum users announced a somewhat unusual bitcoin fork. The main difference between this cryptocurrency lies in the fact that its minat is not computers, but people. In order to get MOTO (Motocoin cryptocurrency units), you only need an average computer (currently requires support for OpenGL version three, but in the future, most likely, the game will work with the second version) and some skills in computer games.

To receive a reward, you need to pass a level generated in a pseudo-random manner based on the transactions in the next block. As soon as someone passes the level, the next block is generated.

The game that you need to play for mining MOTO is very similar to Elastomania (and X-Moto ) - hence the name cryptocurrency.

At first, this unusual approach to mining surprised many participants of the Bitcoin community (some even thought it was a joke), but later, when it became clear that everything was quite serious, the experiment fell to the taste of the community. And why not? After all, there are not too many such cryptocurrencies that (in theory) can be mine for years even on an average laptop. And, more importantly, it takes time a person, not a computer, but it is much more valuable.

Theoretically, Motocoin can give rise to the introduction of cryptocurrencies in computer games and generally use for mining the opportunities that people have. The principle of Motocoin is called Proof ‑ of ‑ Play, although the author originally formulated it as Proof ‑ of ‑ Thought. And, although the Proof ‑ Play ‑ Play wording is indeed more suitable for Motocoin, it is possible that other human abilities will be used in the future besides gaming talents.

When a certain popularity is reached, of course, the arms race will begin again: people will write bots, and then the bulk of the coins will be concentrated on those who are strong in programming and can simultaneously launch bots on a large number of servers.

But right now Motocoin allows people with abilities to computer games to collect rewards, in fact, on an equal footing. In the first block, three Motocoin developers received 150 thousand coins, but in fact, if you count, this is not a very big advantage (enough for them to have an interest in developing cryptocurrency, but no more).

At the moment (since May 20 - since the launch of Motocoin) about two thousand blocks have already been played. The reward for the block is now 100 coins. It is halved every 200 thousand blocks - about once every two years.
