Nokia has created a solution to block P2P and VoIP traffic.

Nokia has announced an exit platform that allows operators to block connections created by certain types of services — for example, P2P file sharing or IP telephony — as well as manage, analyze and set priorities.

This solution is in addition to the Nokia Flexi Intelligent Service Node and will appear in commercial operation in the first half of next year. Nokia representatives believe that the novelty will help operators to optimize their networks under the conditions of constantly increasing load on them and increasing traffic.

The demonstration of the work of Nokia Peer-to-peer Traffic Control will be held today or tomorrow at the Nokia World exhibition in Amsterdam.
