History of wearable technology

You probably could not have imagined that “wearable computers” used to be used for casino fraud. Back in the 1960s and 70s, the first wearable card readers were invented and the player’s chances at the playing table increased.

Later, wearable technologies underwent minor changes in terms of consumer devices, with the exception of wrist computing watches that became popular in the 80s. The technologies may have been wonderful, but not practical and inconvenient for the user.

Today, however, wearable technology - from tracking fitness bracelets to smart glasses Google Glass - is perhaps the most successful and productive direction in the high-tech industry.
