One of the main distractions that prevent concentration is noise. However, not any noise interferes with work - many people are much easier to immerse themselves in the “stream” to the music or in a noisy cafe. There are even scientific
studies confirming the positive influence of moderate noise on solving creative and intellectual problems.
The
Noisli site contains a collection of background noise for every taste and the ability to mix them in arbitrary proportions. Here there are the sounds of nature - the sound of rain, the splashing of water, the singing of birds, the rustling of leaves, and the sounds of man-made nature - the sound of the wheels of a train, the sound of a working fan, and the sounds of a crowded cafe. There are also artificial white, pink and brown noise. The collection of sounds is constantly updated.
In addition to the noise generator, the Noisli website also has a minimalistic text editor with offline mode, support for Markdown and a smoothly changing background color - according to the authors of the site, this reduces eye strain, although for my taste, it would be nice to slightly reduce the background brightness and saturation. .

In any case, the main purpose of Noisly is to make noise in the background tab, helping to focus on work, and he copes with that quite well. In addition to the online version, earned last fall, the Noisli application for iPhone is available from May 8. The version for Android is in development.
