Probably, about a year ago, and maybe more, I read a lot of books on personal development, improvement, time management. I didn’t have a blog then, and I’ve just folded up everything in the endless fields of the Internet in the mail. It was a golden time when I was not infected with the graphomania virus (hello
yanewegi ), and when I enjoyed reading other people's blogs. In order to obtain interesting information, and not to see how it was done in others, and how to screw such a thing in yourself.
Then I stumbled upon one, by the time the blogger, with a funny name. But he remembered me not so much with his name, as with the fact that he read the same books as I, and the thoughts he expressed were close enough to me. And this week, I signed up for the next web 2.0 service and with the first views of the profiles of those who are already there, I stumble upon my old virtual
“friend” . Of course, I remembered him, thanks to the name of his journal.
Went through history, like he did. The fact that social networks have given a new opportunity to communicate, including with those with whom previously our communication was not possible in principle, we are gradually getting used to it. I wanted to discuss a slightly different issue here. The issue of public identification.
Earlier (100 years ago) when two grandmothers sat on a bench, spat at the husks of seeds, they said to identify someone in their gossip:
')
- well this one, Maruska. Well sho shocked face writhing? Maruska, daughter of Pankrat the miller.
That is, for identification, the name + middle name, or the name + occupation was used. And that was enough. Then, with an increase in the number of connections of an individual with his own kind, the full name began to be used for public identification.
Further, with the development of media "multimedia" - newspapers, radio, television, for public identification of people, besides their surnames, they began to use their visual, sound images, or those programs in which they participated. For example: well, this Davydov with the voice of Levitan. Or Prostopupkin from the movie "The Wolf and the Seven Little Kids". If it concerns working relations, then it's time to recall such a type of public identification as a name plus a place of work - Ivanov from the head of the trust. All this is enough to determine who we are talking about.
And then began the era of the Internet, which brought anonymity, projects, blogs. And two people can argue in ICQ until the fingers are erased and the keyboard is pressed through. Who better burns tigris from "single planets" or mamaligin from "rake". Moreover, it is the same person. Public identification has become difficult. From here, apparently, there are ideas of Windows passports and OpenID. Only guys forget that what is good for the computer is not always convenient for the user. Maybe that's why I liked the idea
http://BestPersons.ru so much. With its clarity, customization (I want to turn it on, I don't want it), by linking it to a familiar user name that you can remember.
If something from what I wrote here is true, then the guys have a smart perspective on the development of their startup (maybe they will agree to give a couple of shares to offset this article :)). By implementation, of course, you can argue, and probably even improve. But then it is beta. The project is alive, questions are answered almost instantly, so that further development is more likely a matter of time.
But in the place of writers / readers, I would hurry to score a better name for myself.
