We have already written that on May 23 in Moscow our third international mobile conference
# MBLT14 will be held. There will be more than 30 foreign and Russian speakers, including Chris Dressel - partner and COO of Kwamecorp. Chris's product seemed so interesting to us that we decided to dedicate a separate post to him on Habré.
“Again bracelet? Yes, as much as possible "- you thought. And we also thought until we read the description. Chris's team makes a bracelet with a modular system, where each module is responsible for a specific function, be it a clock, a step counter, car keys, an extra battery, you can transfer for a very long time because ... Well, not all at once.

The black object in the center is the module, and the bracelet itself looks like this:

If you have time to interest, then we ask under the cat.
96% of wearable devices on the market track your activity, and the remaining 4% is smart watches and glasses. At the same time, all these devices are of narrow purpose. And what is important in wearable devices? Design and features (the more the better). We only have 2 arms, one neck and one nose. And it is unlikely that anyone will want to hang themselves with all possible devices with different functionality. In the future, wearable devices should not fight for the attention of consumers, but work together.
Adhering to this opinion, the guys from Kwamecorp developed Bond - a smart bracelet with a modular system. The main feature of this bracelet is that the consumer will be able to choose the modules himself, depending on the required functionality.
There are two mandatory modules - the display module, where time and notifications are shown, and the head module, which contains key components. And what about the rest? And then the most interesting. With the rest of the modules, using the open SDK, you can do anything you want: a travel card, keys, a calorie counter, an alarm clock, etc. For example, you can install a module that allows you to track the distance from a mobile device so as not to lose it. It all depends on your needs and imagination.

All Bond modules can be controlled via a mobile application for iOS or for Android.
Chris and his team are confident that wearable device design is a critically important thing. The bracelet should emphasize the individuality and status of the person. Therefore, a lot of time the guys spent on it to make a really stylish device.

Everybody in its own way. Wearable devices have to be able to fulfill their functions. Otherwise they don't deserve to be worn.
