PaperFold: foldable smartphone with three flexible displays
Now increasingly began to offer interesting projects of electronic devices, which previously could only dream of. For example, in 2015, the modular smartphone Project Ara from Google should be released.
In addition, the other day on the Web has information about the project "composite" smartphone with three displays. Displays - ePaper, flexible "electronic paper" from the company PaperFold. ')
Screens can be disconnected and connected, and they can work as a single system, and as three independent displays. Thanks to this design, a mini-laptop with a touch keyboard can be made from a smartphone. The displays are connected by means of a magnetic “fastener”, which holds all the screens together.
When connected, the screens are automatically detected and can immediately work as part of a unified system.
Currently, only a prototype of such a smartphone is ready, which is in the pre-alpha stage, so to speak. I would like to hope that this project will become a reality - most likely, there will be buyers for such an original device.
