Hello friends!
If you are developing applications for mobile devices, you probably used (or considered the possibility of using) some of the existing BaaS (Backend as a Service) platforms - at the moment there are already a
few dozen of them .
I want to share some good
news from Parse.com - one of the most popular and well-known platforms. The service revised the pricing policy (which has not changed since its launch in 2011) and drastically improved the terms of the free tariff for new and existing users.
The old free rate
included 1 million API requests (with a limit of 20 requests / sec), 1 million push messages, and 1Gb storage for files. In case of exceeding the limits, it was suggested to pay extra or switch to a paid tariff for $ 199 per month, allowing you to make 15M requests, send 5M Push-s and have 10Gb of storage.
Now, an unlimited number of API requests with a limit of 30 requests / sec are available for free, and they will be asked to pay only when you need to increase this limit. A simple calculation shows that in a month you can now make 77.76M requests - more than 70 times cooler than the old tariff! In addition, you can now send an unlimited number of Push-her 1 million unique users (devices), and the limits for storing files and the size of the database increased to 20Gb.
')
Parse core- 30 api requests per second (+ $ 100 per additional 10 reqs / sec)
- 20GB of file storage (+ $ 0.03 per GB over)
- 20GB of database storage
- 2TB of file transfer (+ $ 0.10 per GB over)
Parse push- 1 million unique recipients / month (+ $ 0.05 per 1,000 unique recipients over)
- Advanced push targeting, push scheduling, and multiple push certificates available to everyone for free!
Parse analytics- Completely free! (including advanced analytics)
For me personally, the news is all the more good, since my account’s number of requests was gradually getting closer to 1M and soon I would have to pay for the excess. Thank you guys from Parse for such a timely change in the price tag!
All the pleasant development!
