The largest US IT giants are threatening Russian banks with the disconnection of some software. Microsoft, Symantec, Oracle and Hewlett-Packard intend to join the sanctions against a number of Russian banks and companies, and may completely cease to cooperate with them. A source close to the Bank of Russia, said that the bank expects the disconnection of foreign software from day to day. Another source said that Microsoft and Oracle employees recently met with one of the banks on this issue, but so far refrained from imposing sanctions and disconnecting from their products. At this time, IT-specialists of banks in an emergency order are trying to find opportunities to replace the products of American companies, but they say that it is not entirely clear what's next. US companies may not allow to use the license.

Sanctions joins and Hewlett-Packard. “HP has ceased to supply us with the necessary equipment, and now we are urgently looking for a replacement for it,” said an employee of one of the banks, however, he did not specify which specific equipment had ceased to be supplied. In one of the American IT-corporations confirmed that it has no right to continue cooperation with companies in respect of which the United States imposed sanctions. “The biggest vulnerability on the part of Microsoft is not Windows, but the Microsoft.Net software environment, whose private code and components are not fully disclosed to developers.
