British scientists have been able to figure out exactly how the
anti-Kitter mechanism works - a kind of “calculator” that was used two thousand years ago to calculate the motion of celestial bodies, reports
Network World .
The device was discovered in 1902 on a sunken ancient ship. Since then, a lot of research has been done, but the attempts of pundits to figure out the principle of its work were in vain.
Finally, HP Laboratories and X-Tek Systems were connected to the case (the latter is engaged in devices for X-ray studies), and soon the experts will show the world the results of their work.
