In the most difficult situation was the most socially unprotected category of citizens - people who lacked a sense of humor. As a rule, they become the main object of jokes - and cannot adequately respond.
Meanwhile, people without a sense of humor are no worse than you and me. They are just different. Moreover, a serious mindset does not prevent a person from becoming a worthy member of society. Rather the opposite. Suffice it to recall such prominent personalities as Tamerlane or Napoleon. Yes, these people did not like being mocked. But who today, from the height of history, will blame for this?
