Conditions
In this contest, we expect original ideas from apps for mobile devices based on Android OS from you, and then the applications themselves that will use the capabilities of the
Intel INDE Media Pack library or optimized using the
Intel Threading Building Blocks library.

If you already have a ready-made application, you can also take part in the competition. Just describe how you are going to improve your application with
Intel INDE Media Pack or
Intel TBB .
We have no restrictions on the genre, it can be any application, for example, a game that provides the user with the ability to save gameplay to video and share it with friends on social networks, a video application that uses the capabilities of the
Media Pack (editing, video effects) or "heavy computing" application that processes audio, video, pictures, any other data, which uses
Intel Threading Building Blocks to speed up the work of
Intel .
Competition Procedure
The first stage - you give ideas!
Beginning
April 25, 2014 at 12:00 Moscow time, ending
May 16, 2014 at 11:59 . At this stage, you only need the idea of the application that you are going to implement. Submit your ideas through the form
on the contest page . There you have to fill in several fields and, most importantly, describe in detail the purpose and capabilities of your application. The number of ideas from one participant is not limited. The obligatory moment when describing the application is to specify for what purposes the
Intel INDE Media Pack libraries and / or
Intel Threading Building Blocks will be used.
We’ll pay special attention to those who want to send applications on the last day: if you hurry a little and send the idea a week before the completion of the first stage, then you will have a chance to win an additional prize of
Dell Venue 8 .
The tablet will receive 5 authors of the best ideas, who sent the application in the period from
April 25 to
May 9, 2014 . In determining the winners will be taken into account the number of votes and comments to applications from community members. The final decision of course remains for the
judges , who will take into account the originality of your idea.
The summing up of the first stage will take place from
12 to 16 May . During the review process, we will notify participants of the results by e-mail.
The second stage is a demo version.
At this stage, you will create and send us a demo version of the application. The application must have the functionality specified in your application at the first stage. The second stage will begin
on May 12 and will end
on June 27, 2014 . We will evaluate applications from
June 27 to
July 4, 2014 , and then - summing up and announcing the winners.
How applications will be evaluated
1. Creative approach and originality of the idea (
up to 50 points );
2. Convenience of the interface and attractiveness of the application for potential users (
up to 20 points )
3. Quality of software implementation (
up to 20 points )
4. Use of tools of
Intel INDE package (besides obligatory to use Media Pack and TBB libraries) (
up to 10 points )
