NASA has published a long-term plan for landing a man on Mars

Literally every year, starting from the middle of the 20th century, mankind hears that in 5-10-30-50 (we substitute its meaning) years, man will land on Mars. A lot of books are published on this topic, landing projects are being created, dozens of thematic programs are being broadcast on TV.

Until recently, the landing of a man on Mars could be said "and things are there." Now the situation has changed: both the state and private business have become seriously interested in such a mission.

And the other day, NASA published its own, very detailed and long-term plan for such a project. You can see how some stages of the mission, which we heard earlier, now add up to a single and clear picture.

So, at the first stage , which is already in progress, scientists are studying the reaction of the human body to a long stay in space. Of course, such an experiment has been carried out on the ISS, and for a long time. Astronauts use various techniques to maintain body and spirit, and scientists, on returning the team to the ground, conduct tests on muscular atrophy and disorders of the musculoskeletal system.

Experiments are being conducted on Earth. For example, NASA pays 18 thousand dollars to volunteers who spend exactly 70 days in bed.

As far as can be judged, so far everything is going smoothly.

The second stage - deep space. This stage is even more interesting than the previous one. It is planned to capture the asteroid, and send it to the orbit of the moon.

The astronauts will then (in 2020) be sent to an asteroid on the largest of all space rockets ever launched, to the Space Launch System.

During this mission, the team of astronauts will test new spacesuits, and new technologies. If all goes well, the astronauts will return to Earth with asteroid samples.

The third stage is the continuation of the study of Mars by robots. For example, the Mars 2020 mission is already beginning to be realized. In 2020, it is planned to collect rock samples on Mars for further investigation. In addition, new devices will be tested and new technologies.

Well, in 2030, NASA will be ready to launch a manned expedition to Mars. Although this is only the beginning, the first stage is before jumping into deep space.

Let's hope that these plans will not interfere with anything, neither possible economic crises, nor, especially, wars.
