Immer z, owned by physicist Shakhriyar Afshar, has launched mass production of a gaming
vest with tactile feedback, which has been developed for almost 5 years. It is planned that it will be available this year.

The model is called
KOR-FX 4DFX and gives the fullness of sensations when immersed in virtual reality, adding to the feelings of the players those feelings that now have to speculate.
The first prototype of the vest was shown at CES 2010. The main reason for the delay before the start of production was the work on improving ergonomics, because it was necessary to create a fairly universal version of a small weight that would be equally suitable for men and women of different builds and would not hamper their movements.
Seth Fandetti, CEO of Immerz, said the following:
It took hundreds of hours of modeling and fittings to come up with a suitable design for a game use vest.
KOR-FX 4DFX is equipped with a wireless interface, so as not to keep the player on a leash at the computer or console. On the chest plates are located the control buttons for setting the feedback level, for setting the device.
Transducers located inside the vest in the chest and shoulder joints, transmit different types of vibrations in exact accordance with the game process, discarding unwanted signals and limiting them to a reasonable safe threshold. For example, an explosion that occurred nearby will make them shudder. In addition, in a similar way, the vest works while listening to music, or watching a movie with special effects.
