Yandex.Taxi introduces new fares
One of the main tasks that we wanted to solve when creating Yandex.Taxi was to move a normal taxi car quickly in a big city. Remember, before people had to vote at the side of the road or call around taxis and wait for the car for forty minutes. With the advent of Yandex.Taxi and other services for ordering, the situation began to change. Now you can call a taxi with the help of an application or SMS, and the average time of filing a car in Moscow is only 5-7 minutes.
We believe that this task for Moscow has, in fact, been solved. But she is not the only one. One of the reasons why Muscovites still use the services of private traders is the high price of a minimum taxi order. For many taxis, it is 400-450 rubles. People are often not ready to pay this money when you need to drive a couple of blocks - for example, to get to the subway in the rain or take groceries from the supermarket. We have repeatedly received messages from users that they have to overpay for trips over short distances. Together with taxis, we want to remedy this situation and make short taxi rides affordable.

Having discussed the problem with our partners, we decided to change the minimum order parameters in Moscow from May 1. The minimum order at the “Economy” tariff will include only 10 minutes of the trip and cost no more than 199 rubles during the day, and at night and on weekends - within 249. Additional time will be paid at rates not exceeding 14 rubles / min. in the daytime and 15 rubles per minute. - at night and on weekends. For example, the user will pay no more than 199 rubles for a trip from the Babylon shopping center to Nightingale Passage.
The conditions of travel at fixed prices will change. Thus, an economy class trip from the city center to Sheremetyevo will cost no more than 950 rubles, and not more than 1000 rubles to Domodedovo. The surcharges for trips outside the Moscow Ring Road will be the same as before, and the routes along the ring road will become cheaper: traffic on the Ring Road will no longer be charged separately.
New conditions will be beneficial for both taxi companies and service users. Taxi services will get access to the segment of short trips and will be able to increase the number of orders. And users will pay less for short trips around Moscow. For most of our partners, trips up to 30 minutes will be cheaper - such orders with Yandex.Taxi are now more than 60%.
