"Epson Printing Factory" - a new segment of devices in the printing market

Everyone at least once, but thinks about printing photos and documents at home. However, as soon as the question comes to a choice - “jet or laser” - the high cost of original consumables immediately comes to mind. And this concerns both technologies! All would be nothing, but a b / w laser printer, which can still be refueled somehow without installing a complex and cumbersome system of continuous ink supply, does not know how to print color documents and photos. A resource cartridge inkjet color printer leaves much to be desired, not to mention the cost of consumption.

Epson decided to look at the problem of economical printing from a different angle and in 2012 began implementing a new strategy, abandoning the standard scheme for making a profit on the sale of consumables and offering users a new device with very low costs for consumables. The idea was successfully implemented in the Epson Printing Factory line, whose devices use built-in ink tanks for large volumes instead of non-efficient cartridges!

The main advantage of "Epson Printing Factory" - a record low cost of printing. At present, the price of an A4 print on the Monochrome Printing Factory is only about 15 kopecks, and a color one - 20 kopecks. That is why the device and it was decided to call the "factories".

Two Factories

For solving various tasks, the Epson Print Factory series presents both monochrome devices and color devices.
“Monochrome Printing Factory” is a line of four devices: Epson M100 and Epson M105 printers, as well as Epson M200 and Epson M205 multifunction printers.

monofactory

All monochrome devices have built-in 140 ml ink tanks and use exclusively pigment inks. Due to this, the prints dry out instantly, are water resistant and resistant to light.
Accordingly, the prints on these devices are no different in quality from similar prints made on laser b / w devices.

The Epson Print Factory line of color devices includes printers and MFPs .

Wide format

Not so long ago, the Epson Printing Factory was replenished with two A3 + format printers — the four-color Epson L1300 and the six-color Epson L1800 . We believe that the transition to a larger print format will significantly expand the scope of use of the "Print Factory".

The only consumable for Epson Printing Factory devices is ink containers ! Containers' capacity is 140 ml for monochrome and 70 ml for color “Printing Factory”.

The starter kit with monochrome devices includes just two containers with black pigment ink, which is enough for 11,000 prints . Thus, the user for quite a long time will be deprived of the need to spend money on consumables! A set of containers for a color device is enough for more than 10,000 A4 prints , which, you see, is also not bad.

Wireless printing

Advanced Print Factory models support Epson Connect technology, which we recently talked about . This makes it possible to wirelessly print photos and documents via the Internet and from mobile devices without installing any drivers, as well as scanning documents with transferring the received images directly to a mobile device.
