The creator of the Internet against tracking user habits

Tim Berners-Lee in a recent interview expressed his opinion on tracking providers for network habits of users. The Internet inventor believes that the history of the visited pages is the property of the user, and if the company wants to use it, for example, to create targeted advertisements, the provider is obliged to sign an agreement with each user.

It should be noted that Tim's statements about the Internet are quite often gloomy. For example, in 2006, he said in the news on the BBC that the international community came closer to the existence of “undemocratic things” and that “disinformation would be distributed on the Internet.” The source of misinformation, according to Tim, are blogs. “You make decisions based on what you read on blogs of people you have never seen but trusted,” Tim said then.
