Service goal setting. Now on Android and iOS
We are pleased to present the first stable versions of SmartProgress applications for Android and iOS.
SmartProgress applications are an addition to an existing service for setting and achieving goals .
After launching the project in the fall of 2012, we received hundreds of requests for the need for applications. Immediately rush into their development was not possible due to limited resources. In addition, it was necessary to test the demand and find out the potential of the service. Half a year later, we turned to an outsourced company. In parallel, they began to develop applications for the 2 most popular platforms, Android and iOS. In this article we will review these applications and describe the features of the project.

SmartProgress is a developing project that in the course of two years of its existence has become a large community of goal-oriented people (36,000 registrations) who openly carry out their goals, talk about their achievements and failures, find like-minded people and partners.
To make it clear what I am talking about, I will give one case as an example:
Users set various goals for themselves, from weight loss to starting a business. SmartProgress helps you create a structured action plan, identify all the necessary steps towards your goal, and motivates users to make the dream a reality. Participants not only talk about their projects, but also read about the achievements of other people, and see the realism of translating goals into reality. All this contributes to the exchange of experience and increase the speed of their growth and development.
With new applications, all basic project functionality becomes available:
1. Create and publish your goals;
2. Break the goal into stages;
3. Keep a diary of achievements;
4. Subscribe and follow the goals of other people.
The SmartProgress service provides practical tools and provides unique techniques for setting goals competently and their subsequent achievement.
The application can be downloaded for free. When you first start you will be asked to enter or register through social networks and email. On the start screen there is an opportunity to see the section with the goals of other users without registration.
After logging into your account, you will first see the news feed. Here you can read the news on the goals of the people to whom you are subscribed and new improvements of the resource. Here is the "Answers" tab, which contains comments on your goals.
In the upper left corner is the button "Menu". Inside the menu, navigate to your goals, messages, goals of other people, information about the project and your profile.
To create a goal, select the “My Goals” section and click on the plus or directly from the menu. Publishing a goal consists of three steps. First you need to enter a name, a description of the target and add a photo.
Clicking "Next" will take you to the second step and you can add stages.
The third step is to select a target category, add tags that best describe the target, and select privacy settings.
After completing the third stage, you will see your goal in the “All” tab. By clicking on the “Settings” icon in the upper right corner, you can change the description of your goal or delete it. At the bottom of the page is a goal diary. By clicking the "Leave a comment" button, you can add valuable notes, share progress in achieving or talk about problems.
Very much it will be useful to look at how more experienced users pave the way to their dreams. By clicking on the "Goals" section, you can read about the publications of other users. By analogy with the web version, they are divided into three groups: “Interesting”, “Everything” and “Completed”. Here you can be inspired by the bold projects of our users: from the extreme # I want to fly to the ambitious “ Create a Baby for Five Millions ”.
Click on the title of the publication to go to its content. By opening another user's favorite goal, you can read about it, subscribe to the news about the author’s achievements or leave a comment on this goal.
This is the first version of Android and iOS applications SmartProgress. Applications have limited features compared to the main site, we will continue to develop and upgrade.
