A hexapod robot capable of turning into a bun

Norwegian Kare Halvorsen presented his new invention, a robot named MorpHex MKII. He can tighten his "legs" and turn into a moving ball.

The first version of the robot could move in the form of a ball only in a circle. And this is able to move in a straight line. Perhaps this is the first hexapod robot that can be controlled to roll down a slope.



The robot consists of several sections, each of which is equipped with two servomotors. They allow the device to roll, retract and extend the legs.
