Linux does not violate Microsoft intellectual property rights.

In response to a recent statement by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer (Steve Ballmer) that Microsoft’s intellectual property was noticed in the Linux source code, Novell published an open letter refuting this information.

Colleague Ballmer, chief executive of Novell, Ronal Hovsepian, does not agree with Microsoft’s statements regarding Linux and patents. The agreement between the two companies cannot be regarded as evidence that Linux infringes any intellectual property rights, Hovsepian says.
