Micro 3D printer priced at $ 299 collected on Kickstarter more than 2,000,000 dollars in a few days

The creators call their printer "the first true consumer 3D printer." It comes in a finished form - no need to collect, configure, calibrate. The printer weighs only 1 kilogram and is a cube with a side of 185 mm. The combination of simplicity, cheapness and compactness proved so successful that the campaign reached its original goal of 50,000 dollars in just 11 minutes. The Micro 3D printer has become one of the fastest growing projects on Kickstarter in its entire history - he managed to raise a million dollars in 25 hours .



Micro plastic prints ABS and PLA, can be printed with nylon and other materials. The thickness of one layer is adjustable from 50 to 350 microns. The working area corresponds approximately to a cube with a side of 100 mm. The software works under Windows, Mac OS and Linux. According to the creators, their printer is not only the most convenient and cheap, but also the quietest and most economical on the market. The printhead uses a miniature ceramic ring-shaped heater that consumes much less electricity than a regular one. The plastic reel is installed at the base of the printer, under a removable printing platform and does not take up space on the table. The start of mass deliveries is scheduled for November of this year.
