Nomad Digital has begun to build a network of wireless broadband Internet access for passengers of Stockholm public transporter (Sweden).
Part of the pilot project will be to provide WiMAX access on buses traveling along the Stockholm-Nortalle route. Along the route will be placed several WiMAX base stations, in combination with which 3G equipment from two independent operators will also be used. Buses will have Wi-Fi hotspots installed so that passengers can access the web.
Nomad Digital has offices in Europe and North America, and in Asia. From earlier projects of the company, it is possible to note the provision of wireless broadband access for passengers on trains en route from London to Brighton (Brighton Express), as well as from London to Heathrow Airport (Heathrow Express).
