Updated statistics on botnets for February 2008 shows that the Srizbi network was the first to take place with a large margin. Last month, it generated 39% of all mail spam on the Internet. In this market, the situation is changing rapidly: back in January, another Megat-D botnet ( Ozdok Trojan) was the main trash generator . But, apparently, this network has become another victim of hostilities in the framework of the competition of spam bots with each other. At least it is known that the Mega-D control servers went offline for ten days.
