Quadcopter control using Oculus Rift

Modern technical devices allow developers to introduce new solutions in the management of gadgets. For example, one of the developers, Diego Araos from Berlin, can control a quadcopter with head movements.

Of course, in order for the aircraft to listen, you need something else. And this “something” is the Oculus Rift.

The quadcopter flies, the developer sees an obstacle, and tilts his head, for example, to the left. The drone flies around an obstacle, and flies farther, then again an obstacle, a new tilt of the head. And so on.

The project itself was named OculusDrone, and the source of the software can be found on GitHub .
