Verb versus noun

Are there any well-known arguments about: use nouns or verbs in the interface - in the menu and on the buttons? That's what came to me now.

Buttons clearly require a verb, because a noun is a certain statement of fact, they say, "this thing is our search" or even "our search is there . " The noun says to me “not everything is ready, it’s still early, click on me and only then you will get there where you can really change something in this world,” and the verb reflects the immediacy and even some irreversibility of the upcoming action (usual properties of buttons in our days. )

The menu requires more noun. If only because it is done in all programs. Plus, on the basis of the paragraph above, the noun symbolizes a certain pending action (and the menu is just such.)

But what to do with mixed menus?

Products | Download | Buy | News | Dealers | About company
Forums | Search | Help | Login | To register

Do they have the right to coexist? I do not have an unequivocal answer - it seems that it’s not particularly kosher that the substance is mixed. and ch., but I do not see any direct harm. And the call to “buy” is even probably useful from the point of view of the psychology of sales, it brings the action (verb) into the world of static and boring things.
