Intel Braswell - a new generation of processors for mobile and mini computers
At the Intel Developer Forum conference held last week in the Chinese city of Shenzhen, Intel Vice President Kirk Skaugen introduced a new generation of Braswell processors for use in mobile and budget miniature computers running Android, ChromeOS, Linux or Windows. Braswell processors will be manufactured at a rate of 14 nm, which will reduce power consumption and increase performance, while making the product itself even cheaper than its predecessors. Intel remains faithful to its habit of calling the generation of processors the names of geographic objects in the United States. So, Braswell is a town in the State of Georgia. As for the previous generation Bay Trail, this is the name of the tourist trail along the coast of the San Francisco Bay.
