The world-famous company
Dyn , the owner of such a popular
dynamic DNS service as
DynDNS, completely collapses its program of free third-level domain names. Disable free service is scheduled for May 7.
The CEO of the company in
his blog reports that the product was originally developed for a small group of people who later grew into an exciting technology that could be used by millions of people and they are proud of it. But, unfortunately, they are forced to curtail the program of free dynamic DNS names in order to invest money in support, infrastructure and security system, which will improve the quality of service for existing customers on a paid basis.
They also offer a 25% discount on a
paid counterpart to the previously provided free service, which can be
arranged here using the FREE2VIP code
Let me remind you that since 2011, the company has ceased to register new free accounts, but has not prohibited old users from continuing to use their free dynamic DNS names, reducing their number from 3 to 2 per account and introducing compulsory confirmation of account activity every 30 days.
And the letter itself with the sad news:
To our Dyn free hostname users:
For the last 15 years, it has been taken to our Dynamic DNS Pro product. What was originally a product?
If you’re in 30 days, we’re not happy with our free hostname program. It is an unheard-of-hand experience.
For less than $ 20 - a status of 25% discount (formerly DynDNS Pro). By doing so, you'll have access to customer support, additional hostnames, and more.
Easy steps:
- Login to account.dyn.com .
- Click here to add a 25% off VIP rate. The discount will be applied upon checkout.

It is your choice. Visit our FAQ page or post this blog post for more information.
What now to do and where to go to users who still need such a service? Indeed, many routers and other network devices support DynDNS out of the box, without installing third-party software.
