The American company
comScore has presented a regular statistical report on the Internet search market. An excerpt from the October 2006 report is published by the online edition of
TechWeb .
According to the latest data,
Google remains the leader in the US
search : its share has grown by 0.3% compared to September of this year and is 45.4%.
Yahoo processes 28.2% of all search queries of US residents, its share also increased - by 0.1%.
At the same time, Microsoft has lost ground in this market: its share has decreased by 0.2% and now stands at 11.7%.

The
Ask.com search engine, according to a comScore report, holds 5.8% of the search market.
In general, Google shows quite good results: throughout 2006, its market share only grew. Since October 2005, this search engine has won 6.4% of the market from its main competitors, while Yahoo and Microsoft are steadily losing ground.
For reference: in October 2006, Internet users in the United States produced 6.8 billion search queries, which is 3% more than in September of this year and 33% more than in October 2005.
