Second PyCon Russia: Ekaterinburg, June 2-3
Pythonists, do not forget to include in your plans for the summer - PyCon Russia 2014 will be held in Yekaterinburg on June 2 and 3. Now we are actively looking for speakers (how to become them, read below). Even under the cut: a little from the history of the conference and our plans for this year.
Spending PyCon in Russia is an old dream of many python developers. And we - IT-People - two years ago began to implement it little by little. In 2012, we gathered and held a small ekbpy conference for 130 pythonists. In 2013, we had the courage and held the first PyCon Russia in Russia , where 250 developers had already gathered (as it was, you can see here and here ).
This year we are hosting the second PyCon Russia and are planning to gather 300 participants. Join now!

• Last year, 7 foreigners and about 20 Russian developers spoke at the conference. Videos and presentations from last year’s reports can be viewed here . This year there will also be a lot of foreign speakers - pull up your English :)
• The format of the conference remains the same: pitonists leave for two days outside the city (30 km. From Ekaterinburg), during the day they listen to reports, participate in master classes, and in the evening have fun and relax in nature. This year we moved the time from winter to the beginning of summer so that foreign speakers and nonresident participants would look at the summer Ural. And there is something to see!
• In addition to the main reports from the speakers, there will be workshops, round tables and lightning talks (by the way, write in the comments topics that you would like to discuss).
• In the breaks it will be no less interesting: we try to make sure that every sponsor has a creative and interesting promotion - in general, you will not be bored.
• An important part of any conference is aftepati, and this year we plan to do prepati: participants who stopped by on the evening of June 1 will be able to meet and socialize in an informal setting before the conference. There will be kebabs, board and active games, and spiritual company.
1. We are looking for speakers with interesting experience with Python. If you are one of them, fill out an application for a report , there is still room in the program. Applications are accepted until April 15, after which the program committee will select the most useful ones.
2. Do you want to win the love and respect of python-developers and advertise your company among pythonists? Fine! You can become a sponsor or partner of the conference. Details here .
3. Come to participate! The site is already open registration . The cost of participation - from 8,000 rubles. The closer to the conference, the higher the price, then you can read the details.
The ticket price includes: participation in the conference, lunch 2.06, dinner 2.06, lunch 3.06, all coffee breaks, afterparty (performances, sauna, bowling), bus from the center of Yekaterinburg to the venue and back. Paid separately: accommodation (in the conference venue - from 2500 for a double room per day with breakfast), prepati and alcohol after the party.
