It turns out that most owners of iPod players do not need the ability to play videos. According to a survey of 400 device owners conducted by Nielsen Media Research, only 15% of them ran some video on their player.
It is also interesting that a third of the iPods surveyed did not have video file support. However, this does not even spoil the statistics, which is relentless: almost 98% of the time Apple users are listening to music or audio podcasts.
Journalists of the Ars Technica edition conducted their survey, which showed that this phenomenon is connected not only with the lack of knowledge of the player’s capabilities, but with the low quality of the picture, as well as with the fact that the batteries during video playback are discharged too quickly.
