The developer of the distribution was Red Soft, which won in March 2013 in the competition for the revision, implementation and maintenance of the AIS FSSP subsystems. The amount of the state contract amounted to 118.15 million rubles.
The Automated Information System (AIS) is also built on open source components: it uses the Apache Tomcat application server and the Red Database DBMS, also developed by Red Soft (according to the company's own statement, based on the free FirebirdSQL DBMS).
The article also states that the FSSP is one of the hottest supporters of free software among the state authorities of Russia.
