The editor-in-chief of Radical Politics, Boris Stomakhin, was sentenced to five years in prison for “inciting religious hatred and public calls for extremist activities,” RIA Novosti reports .
Moscow's Butyrsky Court found the defendant guilty under two articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The materials written by Stomakhin were posted on the Kavkaz-Center website of Chechen separatists. As follows from the verdict of the court, in his publications the convicted journalist approved the actions of the terrorists, who were aimed at the destruction of the state system.
