SMS sending is now cheap, and spam filters are not yet as powerful and selective as the filters in the mail. Spammers consider their position as invulnerable. Sometimes it is enough for them to interest one customer to pay back the newsletter. And those who are not interested - it is their problem, from one extra message will not die.

Nevertheless, call processing is worth the money (at least operator salary). And I do not pronounce a free limit of minutes on my tariff. In addition, often the phone in spam is in the free zone 800 or specified mobile in "its" network, where to call - a penny.

To call and ask a leading question, hold the phone with your shoulder and say “aha” in time and “that's it, please explain more” practically does not interfere with work. And can be fun on the road.
