Runet in pictures XIV. "Usurers without anything sacred" or the fastest growing segment of the Russian financial market
Many hundreds, maybe thousands of years ago, the first analogues of modern microfinance organizations (MFIs) appeared in the world. This type of business has always been characterized by high profitability and high level of risk. However, we recently encountered a study by the National Agency for Financial Research, according to which 78% of Russians do not know what an MFI is, and another 11% know about it only by hearsay. Therefore, we decided to dedicate this post to the MFI in Russia - the financial market, the users of which are, according to various estimates, from 2.5 to 4.5 million Russians, and its volume exceeded 70 billion rubles in 2013. In the XIV edition of “Runet in Pictures” we decided to look at the business of modern Russian “usurers”, which over the past few years has taken a prominent place on the Russian online financial services market.
